The interviews with primary school teachers were concluded, determined by thematic saturation and, simultaneously, the lack of response from the school clusters selected to represent the low and medium socioeconomic contexts (D. Dinis and Marquesa de Alorna, respectively) and the acknowledgement of sufficient socioeconomic diversity among the Rainha Dona Leonor cluster. The focus in this context was also recognised to bring the benefit of fixing the space variable.
These interviews’ analysis was systematised by isolating fundamental quotes and labelling them thematically, as a means to discover and sustain a set of research findings. 11 Findings were generated. These findings can be consulted at the Data section of this website, as the full list of quotes and additional data, which can also be filtered by school context, school year and themes.
Given the delay caused by the hurdles in the access to schools, the discovery stage of this study has been extended until the end of this semester. The next step is to collect knowledge from families associated to the interviewed teachers. The final deliverable of this stage is intended to consider the specifications for the proposed informal learning management system and a mockup prototype for it.
